Esmeraude
Esmeraude (Emerald in the English DUB) is a villain who is a member of the Black Moon Family. She has some very distinct green hair! In the anime, Esmeraude has a crush on Prince Demando. She is always swooning over him. She tries often to stop the Sailor Senshi, but never does she succeed. Wise Man then gives Esmeraude a green jeweled crown. When she puts it on, she turns into a dragon. The Sailor Senshi destroy her. In the anime, we see that Esmeraude easily gets jealous of others. She is kinda "stuck" on herself and a bit self-centered. She is always trying to look good for Prince Demando. She has a really annoying laugh too. (lol) In the manga, Emeraude's character is not as developed as in the anime. We still know that she likes Prince Demando. She seems very willing to do whatever he asks. We know that he likes him in the manga because of two things that happened. First of all, she tells him that she'll get Neo Queen Serenity for him, but then immediately covers her mouth, obviously taken aback by what she said. We also catch her spying on Prince Demando once. Wiseman gives Esmeraude some "super-powerful" hands in the manga. She uses them to try and get ChibiUsa. In the end, however, the Sailor Senshi destroy her as she is trying to get ChibiUsa. In both the anime and the manga, Esmeraude seems to be very power-hungry. To me, the way she acts and talks shows that. However, I think she's a neat villain. I mean, really, who doesn't love that green hair? ^^ |
