Sailor Galaxia
You might have also heard this character referred to as "The Golden Queen." She is in charge of the empire Shadow Galactica. Sailor Galaxia turns out to be a very worthy opponent for the Sailor Senshi. Galaxia was born on a small planet, which she called "trash." She was the Sailor Senshi of this planet. However, this was not enough for her. She craved something more - power. So she left her small planet in search of a more suitable place to call home. During her travels, Galaxia came to a bar. She asked about "the place where stars are born." Only one had an answer for her: Chaos. She was told that to take control of the Galaxy Cauldron, she would have to defeat Chaos. And she was told that the only way to do that was to gather all the Sailor Crystals of all the Sailor Senshi in the galaxy. Galaxia travelled from planet to planet, turning each into a planet of death. She gathered some followers here and there. To many of them, she promised to make them true Sailor Senshi. Galaxia's final goal was the planet Earth and Sailor Moon. We first see her appear on Earth as Usagi(Sailor Moon) is saying goodbye to Mamoru (Tuxedo Kamen) as he goes to study in America. In a flash of light, Galaxia appears and takes Mamoru's Golden Crystal. Galaxia and her minions are responsible for the deaths of the Sailor Senshi. Sailor Moon and Galaxia's final battle takes place at the Galaxy Cauldron. Just as it appears that Galaxia is about to win the battle and destroy Sailor Moon, Chaos unexpectedly blasts her. Because of the blast, Galaxia is about to fall from a cliff and die, but Sailor Moon saves her. Galaxia doesn't understand why Sailor Moon would save her, as this is war, and Sailor Moon should have finished her off. But Sailor Moon tells her that she saw the loneliness inside of Galaxia. Galaxia finally realizes what she needs - love. Galaxia understands that love is more important than power. Galaxia reached out to Sailor Moon, but the energy around them causes Galaxia's bracelets to shatter, and Galaxia is destroyed. In the anime, the story is a bit different. Galaxia was purely innocent until corrupted by Chaos. As you have seen above, she wasn't such an innocent person before Chaos came to her. Also, it is shown in the anime that Chibi Chibi is Galaxia's starseed; this is not true in the manga. |
