Sailor Jupiter
Names: Kino Makoto, Lita, Sailor Jupiter Makoto first appears to save Usagi from getting hit by a car. Then, later, she saves Usagi from getting hit by a baseball. Usagi makes friends with Makoto quickly. Makoto is a great cook, and loves doing it too. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite flower is Sasanquas. She was the fourth senshi to join the group. We know that her parents were killed in an airplane crash, and so Makoto lives alone. This is why she is afraid of airplanes. She now considers her friends as her family. It is obvious she has been hurt badly by someone she once loved. We see this in her face when she mentions this mysterious Senpai. She often plays the role of listener in the Sailor Moon group, as many of the senshi feel very comfortable to confide things to her. As Sailor Jupiter, Makoto often plays the role of the "fighter" for the group. She is strong, and ready for action. Her powers are all related to nature in some way. We know that Makoto loves nature when we see her tending to her plants. Asanuma seems to be the guy she has been closest to in the manga. He finds out the identities of the Sailor Scouts and mentions it to Makoto. She is shocked, but tells him the truth about the Scouts, for there is no reason to try and cover it up. Asanuma wishes aloud that he had powers to protect Makoto. However, their relationship never seems to deepen in the story. In the past, during the Silver Millenium, Makoto was Princess Jupiter of the planet Jupiter. Io Castle was her palace. It has been hinted that all of the inner senshi were betrothed to the four generals, but this is an idea that was never fully developed, and therefore, cannot be proved or backed up. Makoto is a Sagittarius. It is said that those born under the sign of Sagittarius are seakers of truth. They are always seeking knowledge and are known to be noble leaders. They are ruled by the planet Jupiter. Jupiter's image color is green. Green represents life, nature, vigor, abundance, youth, happiness, and hope. In mythology, Jupiter is the ruler of all the gods. He was the source of all the elements, and was also the god of justice. The god Jupiter is associated with lightning, as is Makoto. |
