Furuhata Motoki
Furuhata Motoki works at the arcade. Many of you probably also know him by his English name, Andrew. Motoki is a student and a part-time employee at the Crown Game Center. Motoki's parents own the Crown Game Center and the Crown Fruit Parlor located next door. Andrew has a sister, Unazuki, who works at the Crown Fruit Parlor. We also know that Motoki puts in a litle time at the parlor too. In the future, Motoki wants to become a surgeon. Most all of the Senshi have had a crush on Motoki at one time or another. Minako was the first; in the Sailor V manga, she that he was cute. Usagi had a crush on him too, until her prince came along. Even Ami had a secret crush on Motoki. However, Motoki already has a steady girlfriend, Reika. Reika is studying to become an entomologist. In the anime, we see that Motoki has a lot of dedication to Reika. In the manga, we don't see the same dedication, but when strang things are happening at the Crown Game Center, Reika is worried about Motoki. In the anime, Motoki does not know about the true identities of the Sailor Senshi. However, in the manga, Motoki does learn the true identities of the Sailor Senshi. There is a battle in the Crown Game Center, and at that time, Motoki discovers their identities. Motoki is targeted twice in the manga. The first time, he is but under an evil spell by a strange woman. He then meets Makoto and attacks her. However, Usagi comes upon the scene and saves Motoki and Makoto. The second time, after Mamoru has been brainwashed by Queen Beryl, he then brainwashes Motoki into thinking that Mamoru is his best friend Endo. Motoki has no memory of either of these two attacks. In the anime, Motoki and Mamoru were good friends. However, in the manga, they were never so close. In both the anime and the manga, Motoki is seen as a friendly guy. He is one of the few characters that pretty much survived the transformation from manga to anime. |
