New to Sailor Moon? Never read the manga? You've come to the right place!! I'll help you out! ^_^ I am here to help you figure out the names and everything! Just read this page, and you'll be a pro! Note: The information on my site is mostly based on the manga.
What is Manga?
Manga is the word used for Japanese "comics." It is more commonly called motionless entertainment. Most all of the Japanese cartoons you see are based off of a popular manga. Manga is very beautiful art, the majority of images on my site are from the Sailor Moon manga.
What is Anime?
Anime is the term used for Japanese animation. A Japanese cartoon you've seen on T.V. would be referred to as an anime show.
Japanese names?
Confused by all the weird names you see on Sailor Moon web sites? All of the Sailor Moon characters have been given English names: Serena, Raye, Amy, etc. But they have Japanese names, too. Click here for a niftly little table that explains the names. Hint: This table is a great one to print out if you're not familiar with the Japanese names and are surfing the web. ^_~
What are the Sailor Moon Seasons?
Like all TV shows, there's more than just one season of Sailor Moon. So far, in the USA, we've only been able to see the first four seasons dubbed and televised. So many of you may be unfamiliar with the final seasons. That would be why you don't recognize all the Sailor Moon character faces you see on the web. There are five seasons total: Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon Romance, Sailor Moon Super, Sailor Moon Super Senshi, and Sailor Moon Star Senshi (also known as Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon SuperS, and Sailor Moon StarS, respectively).
