Site History

Well, you must either be bored or curious to come here. This is a little history of the site. Like every other site on the web this site had a simple beginning. And it has grown to become what it is today.

November 2000
That's the official open date of Sailor Smokey's Corner. Exact day, I have not a clue. ^^;; When SSC first opened on Homestead, it was boring. Basically, I had a lot of useless graphics that took forever to load. No one in their right mind would want to visit. I mean, it was pretty bad. And, on top of that, there was no Sailor Moon section on the site.

January 2001
In two months, my site had begun to change. I now started to focus on Sailor Moon as the subject for the site. And I started getting an idea of what a "layout" was. But SSC wasn't just for Sailor Moon. No, it had personal info, horse stuff, Pokemon stuff, and whatever else I felt like throwing in there. LOL. It was still somewhat pathetic.

March 2001
Somewhere around this time, my clique, Dream, was born. And so yet more stuff was added to SSC. However, I branched everything off of a splash page for SSC. You could go to The Horse Corner, The Sailor Moon Corner, or Dream. And all of that was filed under "Sailor Smokey's Corner." Confusing, eh?

May 2001
Take the Journey started construction somewhere at the end of April, beginning of May. I decided to change things with my site. And thus, The Sailor Moon Corner became Sailor Smokey's Corner itself. And I wanted to get off of Homestead. And so, I came to my now wonderful server, Envy. I also moved the clique Dream. Everything split up and became more structured. Exciting, right?

June 2001
Well, during June I really started building SSC. It finally became a somewhat enjoyable site for Sailor Moon fans to visit. ^^

November 2001
SSC celebrated one year on the web.

April 2002
Envy.nu started changing things around, on their site. Envy sites were deleted. I had started moving SSC to Tripod in January, and I just kept moving it. I restructured the site to make it a bit more professional. A few of SSC's previous features were deleted, and some features were added. SSC re-opened in April.

Well, now you know about my humble beginnings. If you are a beginning webmaster, please realize that it took a while for me to learn all this. So don't give up. You can have a great site too!
